We often opt for an SUV for practicality, efficiency, reliability but one factor which is often forgotten is luxury. BMW X7

Kicking off this list is the BMW X7, the premium model in the BMW SUV line up. There is plenty of space wherever you’re sat in the X7, with leg room more akin to a private jet than a car. The similarities with a jet engine don’t end there however, as the BMW X7 is capable of 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds but still produces a respectable 36.2mpg. This is made more impressive given the X7 is massive, if bigger means better than BMW are winning here.

However, this does mean plenty of high-quality materials which complete a stunning interior and elegant display screen.

Range Rover Sport

In at number 2 is the Range Rover Sport. For years the standard setter in luxury SUVs, Range Rover rightfully retains its place at the top table. Not only is the Range Rover Sport exceptional offroad, but its iconic design is sure to turn heads in the urban jungle.

The high driving position will make you feel in control of the road, and you’ll be comfortable too. Safety considerations are second to none, while the interior ensures the Range Rover Sport is a charming place to be.

Audi Q7

Sporty, tech-full, and easy on the eye it’s no surprise the Audi Q7 has been such a hit since it’s launch in 2007. The Q7s infotainment is as well-crafted as it is user friendly, comforting quirks like massage seats and luxurious nappa leather make driving the Q7 feel as though you have a personal chauffeur.

The Q7 is the largest SUV in Audi’s range, featuring a large boot space and seven seats. This means that the Q7 is incredibly practical as well as being luxurious.

Porsche Cayenne

When Porsche launched the Cayenne it was a move steeped in controversy. How could a brand famous for producing sports cars venture into the SUV market. But it paid off. Designed for those who need the practicality of an SUV but still love the thrill of driving, the Cayenne is fast. It’s 4.8litre twin turbo V8 engine will go from 0-62mph in just 4 seconds, with the newer hybrid models even quicker.

But it’s more than just a speed demon, there’s plenty of storage space and an interior so intricate that it would look at home in an elegant sports car. Funnily enough.

Finally a brand renowned for luxury, Bentley. The Bentayga is currently Bentley’s best-selling car and with good reason. Powered by the same engine you’ll find in the Porsche Cayenne it is no slouch but once you’re sat inside the Bentley it comes into its own.

Quality craftsmanship is present wherever you look with only the finest materials used and exquisite attention to detail. When you’re driving the Bentayga it feels like you’re the captain of a super yacht, although the Bentayga is a lot easier to steer!
