The Neue Klasse Era
Redefining BMW EV Design, BMW’s release of the Neue Klasse range is here to be groundbreaking and the next wave of electric vehicles from BMW will be centered around this range and the Neue Klasse architecture. This platform integrates batteries into incredible structural design, supporting 800-volt charging and promises a charging boost of roughly 30 miles per minute.
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse concept is set to showcase many features, however its minimalistic design and luxurious interior with panoramic vision display, adding recycled materials, with no chrome or leather - fusing together an array of digital and emotional comfort, this particular selection of electric cars is said to be a revolutionary step made by BMW and this will aid a special era with the Neue Klasse range.
Underneath the hood lies the sixth-generation eDrive system, used in today’s current EV models from BMW, although this time it is paired with a contemporary cylindrical battery which has the ability to go for 30% more range and faster charging - a key in a new range of electric cars. This also allows for improved driving efficiency by up to 25%. BMW is also embracing sustainability with battery recycling initiatives, aiming for a supposed closed-loop system, in order to recover valuable materials and ensure eco-friendly production.
The iX3: Herald of the Neue Klasse Era
This brand new SUV, landing in September this year, is poised to break new ground as the first vehicle based on the Neue Klasse platform, rolling off the production lines in Debrecen, Hungary, in late 2025. No date of availability for UK customers has been revealed yet, but this landmark model of the Neue Klasse range is set to turn heads.

Expanding the Electric Crown: Current & Upcoming Models
BMW i4 - The refreshed i4 eDrive35/eDrive 40 from July 2025, now includes silicon carbide inverters, improving energy efficiency by 4.5% and adding 22km of range. This thrilling motor offers up to 601 hp and hits 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
BMW i5 - The all-electric i5 sedan joins the 5 Series lineup, available in eDrive40 and xDrive40 and performance-packed M60 xDrive variants.
BMW i7 & iX - The flagship i7 (including M70 xDrive) remains a luxurious electric marquee and ultimate performance showcase car. The current iX SUV continues still, to be impressive with instant torque and a drag coefficient as low as 0.25 Cd, ambient “My Modes” for a personalised cabin experience.
The Electric X Series & Beyond
BWW iX2 - BMW’s first fully electric compact coupe-SUV debuted in early 2024, it featured a sloping roofline, illuminated kidney grille options, 21-in alloy wheels, and BMW’s OS 9/Curved Display System - sans iDrive wheel.
